Agriculture

Over the years the firm has advised and assisted those involved in agriculture whether they be landowners or tenants.

Farming is anything but a straightforward business in this day and age. It faces severe economic pressures and the influences of the Common Agricultural Policy as well as complicated legislation governing the respective rights of landlords and tenants, succession issues and the incidence of taxation.

Increasingly, farmers are being urged to diversify their activities and the right blend of legal advice and expertise is required in order to achieve this successfully. Our experience in this area of the law enables us to provide this.

We have frequently advised landowners disposing of agricultural property and, where appropriate, we have enabled them to preserve an interest in the future potential of the land that is being sold by reserving development rights and devising schemes to enable the property to be repurchased at a later date.
