Chantal is a Partner and Head of the Wills, Trusts & Probate team and is a fully accredited member of both the Society for Trusts & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). Chantal prides herself on offering a high standard of legal services in all aspects of private client work to take clients from cradle to grave, and is always looking at the bigger picture. This all-round service gives her clients peace of mind that nothing has been overlooked.

Recent highlights include
• Advising HNW individuals and families in relation to the preservation of wealth and succession planning across generations, including the preparation of Wills, powers of attorney, establishment of trusts, and consideration of appropriate tax reliefs and various lifetime planning opportunities, such as making inheritance tax-free gifts out of income.

• Creating bespoke, flexible Wills for families with assets in the UK designed to maximise the tax saving opportunities that may be available on death and protect against non-tax threats such as divorce, bankruptcy, or financial immaturity of their heirs.

• Implementing sensitive, practical and tax efficient estate planning for families where there are children or other heirs from more than one marriage/civil partnership or prior relationship; balancing the needs of the surviving spouse and all the children, minimising the risk of future conflict.

• Advising Executors on the administration of complex and high-value estates, including the navigation of issues surrounding the domicile of the deceased, cross-border complications, post-death variations, complex assets and inheritance tax.

• Dealing with HMRC enquiries, investigations, disputes and refunds relating to Inheritance Tax and reliefs including Agricultural Property Relief (APR) and Business Property Relief (BPR).
